Concrete-recovering machining tool

Gercom developed the concrete-recovering machining tool for structures that require that vibration and striking energy be kept to a minimum. The performance of this equipment is particularly suited to work performed on the pillars and ceilings of structures such as bridge overpass spans, tunnels and other similar structures requiring that concrete be stripped with great precision.

The concrete-recovering machining tool provides the following advantages:

  • Precise, fast and even stripping

  • Ability to control stripping depth and area

  • Capacity to cover a 10 square meter area without needing to move the equipment

  • No scaffolding

  • Operation with a minimum of noise

  • Operation with a minimum of dust

  • Easy access to work planes

  • Smaller work teams and faster completion of work

  • Greater worker safety in accordance with the provisions of the Commission de la Santé et de la Sécurité au Travail and other applicable safety regulations

  • Fast and easy freeing of circulation areas

  • Concrete recovery without physical handling

  • Remote-controlled work for greater safety.

This innovation, developed entirely in-house by the Gercom team based on guiding frame technology, is particularly well-known for its performance during the rebuilding of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce tunnel in Montreal.
