Construction of a rainwater holding pond - No.1 and no.2 ponds - Bagotville military base (Bagotville, Québec)

Work to be performed:

• Excavation of ponds
• Installation of overflow pipes
• Laying down of ballast
• Installation of a culvert
• Construction of an overflow trench
• Installation of a geomembrane

Period: October and November 2001

Challenge and special requirement:

• Work had to be performed without blocking or shutting down the landing strip drainage system kept in operation throughout the project.

Equipment used:

• Hydraulic excavator
• Bulldozer (tractor)
• Compactor
• 10-wheel truck
